Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 will have Ice Cream Sandwich

The next generation of Samsung's Galaxy Tab brand will bring the successful tablet platform to the newest version of Android.
The manufacturer has announced that the Galaxy Tab 2 will have a 7-inch display, be available in both 3G and Wi-Fi-only models, and be powered by Android 4.0, also known as Ice Cream Sandwich.
The device also has a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, and a 1024 x 600 resolution, along with front and rear cameras and Bluetooth connectivity.
The original Galaxy Tab was seen as the first true Android-powered competitor to the iPad. Because of its first-to-the-market status, it has managed to grow into a formidable name in the world of Apple alternatives.
Nevertheless, it has been plagued with the same question as many other Android tablets - if it's pretty much the same price as an iPad, why not just buy an iPad? You'll get some people who say they don't like Apple, but many consumers will say, "yeah I may as well just buy an iPad."
It's all about price, and that's why Amazon's Kindle Fire has managed to capture the kind of attention that no other non-iPad tablet has. Of course, its shortcoming is that it's not all that powerful.
Samsung is hoping to grab the much more difficult market of expensive tablets that can compete with the iPad. There has been no officially announced release date or price for the Galaxy Tab 2.
